SIBA SW Competition 2017

We entered a few of our beers in cask and bottle into the SIBA SW competition, biggest of its kind in the region. Over 450 beers were entered and following 4 rounds of blind judging, we only blooming won two awards!

Weisse Guy won a Bronze in 'Small Pack Specialty Light Beers'

C.S.H won a Silver in 'Cask Standard Bitters and Pale Ales'

We entered with little or no expectation of an award, given the field, yet to come away with two awards is awesome!

Crowdfunding update

We did it! Our crowdfunding campaign was a success - with the help of 345 backers, we raised 108% of our target - amazing.

Ollie and Paddy are now working even harder to start fulfilling the promised rewards; source and commission the brewery; delve into reams of red tape; get the building up to spec and make sure brewing properly comes to Exmouth in 2016.

As was outlined on the CrowdFunder pages, they are aiming to fulfill on pledges in August 2016.

Thank you all again for supporting us - think local; drink local!

Crowdfunding update

At time of releasing this, the Crossed Anchors crowdfunding to bring brewing to Exmouth is going very well, with 44% of the £35,000 target already pledged by 86 incredible backers who are in line for some great rewards!

We're under no illusion that the next 56% of the funds to be raised will be easy, so we are up to all sorts to spread the word! You'll see us at Dart's Farm; at the end of Chiefs matches; up in Exeter taking over bars and generally knocking down doors to shout about this amazing project!

Our crowdfunding is all-or-nothing based, so unless we hit the target on 9th May, then we'll have to go back to the drawing board (or a bank, boo/hiss). Do check out our video, and just take a peek at the rewards we're offering - we think you'll find they are pretty damn cool.

Brewery Crowdfunding Launch Party - watch this space!

The countdown is on! On Good Friday 2016, Crossed Anchors Brewing launches into the next phase of the business - we're starting our crowdfunding campaign with great rewards for anyone who pledges to back us.

As many of you know, we've been 'cuckoo' brewing, making awesome beers by using another brewery's equipment. The trouble is, we can't make enough beer on this equipment, and it is too far from our hometown of Exmouth, Devon!

In our first six months of operating we have sold 15,000 pints of beer. We have incredible tested recipes, regular customers, a website and professional branding. We are ready to launch.  We are planning to purchase a six barrel brewery in 2016, and this is where we need your help.

We're having a launch party from 8pm on Good Friday 25th March 2016, with live music and great food. Our backers (hopefully you'll be one of them) will receive fantastic, exclusive rewards for showing their support and confidence in our brewery.

If you can't make it, have a look at our www.crowdfunder.co.uk/crossed-anchors-brewery webpage from 25th March 2016 to see our rewards and how you could get involved.

Think local - drink local!
